fairytale proposal

June 24, 2016 my Prince Charming. Kendall Motes, proposed!

It was such a happy day knowing that I would get to be with my best friend forever. 

So how did he do it? It was a crazy week as I was working EFY as a health counselor. We went ring shopping at the beginning of the week (during my EFY breaks).  They said the ring wouldn't be finished for another week or two. But Kendall had his ways. 

He talked with my supervisors to see if I could get time off for a couple hours in the evening so he could propose (since I was literally working 3 weeks in a row).  They told me that he wanted to take me on a real date since all of our "dates" lately consisted of dinner at the cougareat during my breaks. I asked him what we were going to do and he said he thought we could go on a drive up the canyon (first, that's usually me that suggests those type of dates... so that got me thinking). I was a little suspicious. But it was a good thing it was spiritual Thursday and I was wearing a dress and not my EFY polo (I told him I could never be in my polo if he was to propose soon haha). 

We drove around the beautiful canyon and then he said he wanted to get out and walk around a little.  We parked and walked up to this beautiful meadow where there was a blanket and flowers laid out.  And... Lindsey and Cathy in the bushes taking pictures. He got down on one knee and said some beautiful words and that he loved me. He wanted to be my husband... forever!!! 

We were so incredibly happy. Our cheeks were hurting we were smiling so much. 

So grateful this amazing guy took a leap of faith with me and that he is now my husband.
